Patti Smith "Qana"

Israël considère la ville de Cana comme un site de tir du Hezbollah.

Le 30 juillet 2006, l'armée israélienne a donc décidé de bombarder, entraînant ainsi le pilonnage de la ville pendant plus de deux heures. Ce bombardement a détruit des dizaines de bâtiments dont un immeuble de 3 étages qui, d'après l'armée israélienne, était une base de lancement de missiles katioucha. Ce bombardement a provoqué la mort de 28 des 63 habitants de l'immeuble. On compte 16 enfants parmi les victimes.
